Intensive courses (lectures) and tutorials for young researchers, in particular postdocs and PhD students, and also mathematicians working in other fields as well as mathematically oriented engineers: mainly until the beginning of November
CM Challenges Day to which we invited people working at Austrian universities, research centers and industry as well as other institutes of the ÖAW in order to pose CM challenges that can possibly be tackled efficiently by novel computational methods discussed and developed in the Special Semester: Friday, October 21, 2005
International Workshop on "Direct and Inverse Field Computations in Mechanics" held at RICAM, Linz, November 7 - 11, 2005

RICAM is one of the local organizers (beside the SFB F013 and the Institute of Computational Mathematics of the JKU) of the 17th International Domain Decomposition (DD17) Conference held in St. Wolfgang, July 3 - 7, 2006. RICAM will promote the DD17.
The Institute is named after the famous Austrian mathematician Johann Radon (1887-1956)
