Pattern formation on growing domains

Workshop on Pattern Formation and Functional Morphology, Mon, 07 Jan, 2008

Speaker: Philip Maini

Abstract

Biological pattern formation has been the source for inspiration for mathematical modellers for some time now and recent experimental findings suggest strong evidence that some of these models are indeed highly relevant. Here we consider one of these models, the Turing model, and analyse it's behaviour on growing domains with application to a number of biological situations.
