PET: A Tool for Estimating Rate Constants in Models of Molecular Networks

Workshop on Systems Biology, Fri, 09 Nov, 2007

Speaker: Jason Zwolak

Abstract

PET (Parameter Estimation Toolkit) provides a graphical user interface
for estimating rate constants of molecular network models. The goal
behind this project is to create an interface that scientists find
pleasurable and easy to use while estimating parameters. In support
of this goal, the design process for PET consisted of soliciting
scientists for their needs and desires for modelling molecular
networks and for user interface features. This solicitation resulted
in PET including an unlimited undo/redo feature, local and global
optimization algorithms, support for SBML and JigCell file formats,
support for user parameter exploration, PDF report generation,
configurable plot output, and more features that will be presented in
this workshop.
