CALL FOR PAPERS Special JSC Issue "Non-commutative Groebner Bases" Guest Editor of the Special Issue: Viktor Levandovskyy All the participants of the D2 Workshop "Groebner Bases in Symbolic Analysis" Special Semester on Groebner Bases and Related Methods Hagenberg-Linz, Austria, May 8 - 17, 2006 are cordially invited to submit original papers and/or tutorials for the special issue of the Journal of Symbolic Computation devoted to Non-commutative Computer Algebra and, in particular, to Non-commutative Groebner Bases. This invitation also extends to any researcher interested in the topics of the Workshop. The list of topics includes, but is not limited to: * effective symbolic computation in a non-commutative setting * theoretical notions and constructions, related to Groebner bases in various classes of non-commutative algebras * applications of methods, based on non-commutative Groebner bases, to different fields of science * aspects of implementations in computer algebra systems, benchmarking * complexity of algorithms in the non-commutative case Manuscripts should be submitted in PDF format to the guest editor Viktor Levandovskyy (levandov@risc.uni-linz.ac.at). They must be prepared in LaTex using the "Elsevier Article Class (elsart.cls)" with "JSC add-on style (yjsco.sty)" and "Harvard style references (elsart-harv.bst)". The package "JSC_LaTex_Style.zip" (that contains all the necessary style files and a template) can be obtained from www.math.ncsu.edu/~hong/jsc/JSC_LaTex_Style.zip. All the papers will be refereed according to JSC standards. Although there is no restriction on length, authors are encouraged to be as concise as possible and to limit their papers to 22 pages.
