Announcement due to COVID-19:
Dear participants of the Special Semester on Tomography,
Due to the current development of the Corona pandemic, especially related to the delta variant,
the organizing committee sadly announces that the Special Semester „Tomography across the Scales“
will be postponed to fall 2022. We had to realize that a majority of the participants registered
for remote participation, mainly due to the ongoing uncertainties and related travel restrictions.
However, a Special Semester thrives on interaction between participants on-site and we, therefore,
feel that our goals cannot be achieved by a series of Online-Meetings.
As a small consolation, there will still be the workshop “Special Semester on Tomography Across the
Scales: a Prequel for the Special Semester 2022”. This will take place from October 11-15, 2021 and
there will be speakers from all the planned workshops presenting on their respective planned topics.
We will reserve one day for each of the planned workshops, the schedule will be as follows:
- Monday, Oct. 11: Geometrical Inverse Problems
- Tuesday, Oct. 12: Medical Imaging
- Wednesday, Oct. 13: Inverse Problems on Small Scales
- Thursday, Oct. 14: Scattering and Inverse Scattering
- Friday, Oct. 15: Inverse Problems on Large Scales
For organizational reasons, we ask that you register for this prequel workshop: Online Registration
Again, we plan to have the workshop in hybrid mode.
For onsite participation there is limited space available, therefore we will send a confirmation after
registration is closed.
Workshop 5 (now Workshop 2a and 2b) from November 23-26, 2021, held to celebrate the birthdays of Sergei Pereverzyev and Andreas Neubauer,
will still take place. No new registration is necessary therefore if you already registered.
We are looking forward to welcoming many of you to the prequel workshop online or onsite in Linz!
Thank you very much for your understanding!
