The RICAM special semester on "Multivariate Algorithms and Their Foundations in Number Theory"
will cover various subjects ranging from Pseudo-Randomness and Discrepancy Theory to Information-Based
Complexity and Uncertainty Quantification. The main focus of the semester will be four workshops,
organized by various international experts.
The special semester is intended to include new aspects and applications of these fields, such as
applications in cryptography, or Uncertainty Quantification. Accordingly, the special semester will
bring together experts from different communities, working on various aspects of these topics.
