Former and current positions:
  • September 1994- August 1996: High school mathematics teacher, Ministry of Education, Ethiopia
  • August 1998- January 2003: Lecturer, Department of Mathematics, Dilla University, Ethiopia
  • February 2003- November 2004: Lecturer, Department of Mathematics, Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia
  • 07/2009-08/2010: PostDoc Scientist in the group "Optimization and Control" at the RICAM

Research Interests

  • Bilevel (multilevel) programming
  • Optimization problems with PDE constraints
  • Multiobjective optimization problems
  • Fuzzy mathematical programming
  • Application of optimization methods and solution techniques to solve real world problems (specially in image processing)
