Short Curriculum Vitae

  • 2006 B.Sc. Applied Mathematics, University of Athens
  • 2008 M.Sc. Computational Science, University of Athens
  • 2011 Ph.D. Computer Science, INRIA Sophia-Antipolis - Méditerranée
Mr. Mantzaflaris holds a License in Mathematics and a Master’s (with Valedictorian Award) in Computer Science from the University of Athens. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science at INRIA, France, in the frame of the Marie Curie Initial Training Network SAGA. His research interests span isogeometric analysis, geometric modeling, CAGD, CAD/CAM, symbolic-numeric computations, algebraic algorithms, algorithmic geometry, elimination theory. He is an active member of the communities of geometric modeling and computer algebra and has contributed several articles in related international journals/conferences. Regarding professional duties, he has served as teaching assistant in several undergraduate courses, as a referee in international journals/conferences and he has been in the organizing committee of workshops related to CAGD, algebra and geometry. His strong point is the combination of a solid background in pure and applied mathematics with advanced skills in Computer Science, ranging from complexity and computational issues, to computer programming and software development.
