SS 1: Optimal Control and Numerical Analysis of Maxwell's Equations

Organizers

Abstract

Electromagnetism plays a crucial role in many modern applications and technologies. The optimal control and the numerical analysis of electromagnetic processes are delicate and call for a deep mathematical investigation. The minisymposium will present recent results in the optimal control and numerical methods for the Maxwell equations. In particular, challenging applications arising in the electromagnetic flow measurement, time-dependent electromagnetic processes in the high-frequency regime, and inverse source problems in the eddy current measurement will be highlighted.
