MS 2: Isogeometric Analysis

Organizer

Abstract

Isogeometric Analysis, introduced in 2005 by T.J.R. Hughes et al., has opened new perspectives for the interaction between the scientific communities that deal with numerical analysis and geometric design.
The four talks in this minisymposium will report about ongoing work to address the challenging numerical and geometrical problems that arose in this context. In addition, they will demonstrate the tremendous potential of this framework for real-world applications.
