“Solved and unsolved problems in the discretization of optimal control problems”
During my time at RICAM I studied finite element discretizations of optimal control problems. A priori error estimates were derived for different types of optimal control problems. Svetlana Cherednichenko and Klaus Krumbiegel worked on this topic in an FWF-project.
In this talk I will present some questions which we discussed at this time. Some problems are solved now, but there are still unsolved problems waiting for new good ideas.
